The workshops envisaged to:

  • increase awareness upon the phenomenon of racism in grassroots football and upon the need to take measures against it; share the main results of our project: the TACKLE Curriculum, Toolkit and Interactive eLearning Platform (https://tackleproject.eu)
  • teach participants how to access TACKLE platform, find these results and use them in their activities with teenager football players in grassroots football;
  • create a regional network of coaches, teachers/trainers, club managers from the field of grassroots football able to become active, make outmost benefit of TACKLE results within their football-related activities and assure the project sustainability.

During the workshops, racism in grassroots football was approached from a theoretical perspective (definition, causes, forms, effects) but also through practical exercises, case studies, examples and procedures on how to make our football teams and clubs more inclusive.

Participants appreciated that the workshops are valuable for their work, emphasized on the fact that the project educational resources are practical, relevant and especially they are customizable, thus extremely useful and ready to be applied within teams and sport clubs.
